Bring it on Acacia.
Sue me...I DARE YOU. Your legal team is no match for what's hidden up
my sleeves and pant legs. You punks!
The Real John McCain
2008-08-25 04:03
GMT -04:00
This isn't one of our own videos but it's a very important one. It's a
great compilation of how much of a liar John McCaine has been on VERY
important issues.
Maybe it's Alzheimer's but I doubt it. If this punk gets into
office...I'll whine and cry about it online.
Peace.

Tenth Anniversary!
2008-08-23 15:05
GMT -04:00
Today
Rants and Raves celebrates its tenth anniversary. This all was started
back in August of 1998, right before the Crew started high school.
Pretty crazy huh?
To be honest I don't have anything special to
put up here. What I can say is there are still a few shows left to be
edited and released that may be up within the month. Also I am
currently developing a TV pilot that will be shot next year so look out
for that.
Peace.

Finally the Show...
2008-08-20 00:11
GMT -04:00
Two
updates in a matter of days! How can this be?!? Well...it is. Finally I
can release the show I've been waiting to release to everyone!
I
spent a little under six months of my life acting as the engineer for
Matt Pless' new album Alarm Clock Time Bomb. It was my first time
recording/mixing a full band arrangement and it was fun at times and
really frustrating at others. If you've never recorded music before
you'll never know the true emotional rollercoaster everyone goes
through but that's the gist of things.
In this episode of the
Infrequency you'll get to hear three tracks off Matt's new release and
also hear about some of the behind the scenes of the album. Matt we'll
explain the man on his album cover, his life as a working musician and
other random things. I've broken the show into three parts to keep the
sound quality relatively decent.
By the way I turned 24 today. And happy belated birthday to Todd!

BIG NEWS
2008-07-09 16:35
GMT -04:00
First,
the smaller news. I have an almost-finished show ready for release. I
just need one segment and it will be up. My computer doesn't have that
file and I'll be getting it by this weekend.
And now, THE BIG NEWS.
I bought a camera.
That's
right...I got myself my dream (at least for now) camera...the Sony
PMW-EX1. It's an HD camera that can shoot in all kinds of modes, do
slo-fast-mo and it uses no tape. Any shows we do with this camera will
be put on the HD-capable vimeo.com
along with standard def on YouTube. My house has become a real
multimedia powerhouse over the years.
Recording studio? Check.
Photography? Check
Video production? Check.

New Stuff Coming Soon
2008-06-18 02:45
GMT -04:00
Just
so you all know I am NOT dead. My photography business has been taking
up most of my time lately and prior to that I was recording a music
album with a guy named Matt Pless.
One of the "new stuffs" come
out is the interview with him and of course a few of his new tracks are
going to be on the show. I engineered and mixed the record so it would
be interesting to hear some comments from everyone once it's out. And
of course if you like what you hear you can buy some mp3s or the record
from http://myspace.com/mattpless
Other
"new stuffs" include shows that I recorded this past February and a
show with Aaron and me that was recorded....oh...over a year ago! WTF?
I don't know I'm just lazy like that I guess.
I
tried to be productive. I really REALLY tried my best but the planets
did not align for me. Stuff was breaking left and right, I couldn't get
my errands finished because places closed. Grrrr...I don't know if I
can sleep well tonight after this stress and I need to get up early
tomorrow.
Damn it.
Any way, you get to hear me in a angry yet calm (due to not wanting to
waking up the neighbors) tone in the new show.
Now...for
me back to more stress. Maybe I'll just call it a night and
evercise/watch TV. Yeah...that sounds good right about now.

Comcast Lowers HD Quality
I
posted this over at the forum but you all NEED to see this if you are a
Comcast HD subscriber. You are no longer receiving true HD (or won't be
soon).
Even
people who aren't videophiles can see that quality degradation Comcast
is pulling over on us. O Verizon FiOS, where art thou?

Why You Shouldn't Buy Bluray
2008-02-07 06:30
GMT -04:00
Over
this past Christmas season I purchased an HD DVD player for my family
to enjoy movie in HD. While it's not without its flaws (slow bootup
time compared to standard DVD, player locks up with scratched discs)
when it works it works EXTREMELY well.
Bluray Disc profile 2.0 movies are going to be released in the next few
months and may
not be compatible with older players.
Older players that cost consumers hundreds and sometimes (for the early
EARLY adopters) thousands of dollars. Sony reps have this "I don't give
a crap" attitude. So you know what I say? If you are thinking of
investing in a high def player, go HD DVD like I did.
HD DVD is
a complete format. All its players offer upgradeability. The format is
equal in every way (picture and audio quality) to Bluray. It's cheaper
to buy ($150 for a Toshiba HD-A3) and cheaper for disc manufacturers to
make (which means lower cost discs sooner rather than later with BRD).
HD DVD is the superior format. And heck, if it weren't for HD DVD all
of you Blu Ray owners may still be seeing the crappy mpeg-2 HD video
that earlier titles used.
And since HD DVD is region free, you
can import discs from other countries that are Bluray exclusive in the
states.
As one person put it, if the studios were format neutral BRD would be
dead in the ground right now. But because Sony is being anti-consumer
and paying off movie studios left and right, they have the dominate
format.

The Media are Still Ignoring Ron Paul
2008-01-25 00:56
GMT -04:00
Since the mainsteam media unabashedly are STILL ignoring Republican
presidential candidate Ron Paul, let me mention him again. But this
time let me give you several reasons, courtesy of this website
as to why you might want to vote for him.
------------------------------------
He
has never voted to raise taxes.
He
has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He
has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He
has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He
has never taken a government-paid junket.
He
has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
He
voted against the Patriot Act.
He
voted against regulating the Internet.
He
voted against the Iraq war.
He
does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He
returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S.
treasury every year.
Congressman
Paul introduces numerous pieces of substantive legislation each year,
probably more than any single member of Congress.
Congressman
Ron Paul (R-Texas) is the leading advocate for freedom in our nation's
capital. As a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Dr. Paul
tirelessly works for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free
markets, and a return to sound monetary policies. He is known among his
congressional colleagues and his constituents for his consistent voting
record. Dr. Paul never votes for legislation unless the proposed
measure is expressly authorized by the Constitution. In the words of
former Treasury Secretary William Simon, Dr. Paul is the "one exception
to the Gang of 535" on Capitol Hill.
Ron
Paul was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated from
Gettysburg College and the Duke University School of Medicine, before
proudly serving as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force during the
1960s. He and his wife Carol moved to Texas in 1968, where he began his
medical practice in Brazoria County. As a specialist in
obstetrics/gynecology, Dr. Paul has delivered more than 4,000 babies.
He and Carol, who reside in Lake Jackson, Texas, are the proud parents
of five children and have 17 grandchildren.
While
serving in Congress during the late 1970s and early 1980s, Dr. Paul's
limited-government ideals were not popular in Washington. In 1976, he
was one of only four Republican congressmen to endorse Ronald Reagan
for president.
During
that time, Congressman Paul served on the House Banking committee,
where he was a strong advocate for sound monetary policy and an
outspoken critic of the Federal Reserve's inflationary measures. He was
an unwavering advocate of pro-life and pro-family values. Dr. Paul
consistently voted to lower or abolish federal taxes, spending and
regulation, and used his House seat to actively promote the return of
government to its proper constitutional levels. In 1984, he voluntarily
relinquished his House seat and returned to his medical practice.
Dr.
Paul returned to Congress in 1997 to represent the 14th congressional
district of Texas. He presently serves on the House Committee on
Financial Services and the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. He
continues to advocate a dramatic reduction in the size of the federal
government and a return to constitutional principles.
Congressman
Paul's consistent voting record prompted one of his congressional
colleagues to say, "Ron Paul personifies the Founding Fathers' ideal of
the citizen-statesman. He makes it clear that his principles will never
be compromised, and they never are." Another colleague observed, "There
are few people in public life who, through thick and thin, rain or
shine, stick to their principles. Ron Paul is one of those few."
May
05, 2007 Ron Paul Wins MSNBC Debate Poll
Highest
Positive, Lowest Negative
In
the MSNBC.com rating window of 72,419 votes at 8:10 PM EDT, Friday, May
4, Ron Paul not only had the highest positive rating:
32%
Paul
30%
Romney
26%
Giuliani
21%
McCain
14%
Huckabee
9%
Brownback
9%
Tancredo
8%
Hunter
8%
Thompson
6%
Gilmore
...but
he also had the lowest negative rating:
29%
Paul
35%
Romney
37%
Huckabee
40%
Giuliani
42%
McCain
43%
Gilmore
43%
Hunter
45%
Thompson
45%
Tancredo
46%
Brownback
-----------------------------------
With
all the good platforms, large financial contributions by INDIVIDUALS
and other positive things about Ron Paul, why do the media continue to
marginalize this man? It's absolutely sickening to me how much power
these television companies have over politics but the reality is that
they do.

OMG an Update for 2008!
2008-01-20
01:22
GMT -04:00
There hasn't been a new show uploaded since last April. And that's just
sad, really. That's exactly the time I started my business so it makes
sense but there's still enough free time in my life to do at least one
show.
This
stuff and more is addressed in this MONTH's Keynote. I am going to try
and put out one episode of the Keynote a month and every once and a
while...if I'm lucky...do an Infrequency show.
2007
was an awesome year for myself and a number of the crew. Hopefully 2008
will bring more to the show but I wouldn't get my hopes up. As much as
I want to dedicate time to the show it's just not one of my priorities
in life anymore.
I will be shooting a new short
documentary at the beginning of the month and possibly edit the Piece
of Shit Races Episode 2 soon as well! I sure hope!
And you thought you'd never see it again! Yep, over the weekend we
taped the second Piece of Shit Races match. This time, we did it in
high definition....w00t my nerdy brothers!
Here are some still grabs to whet your appetite until I finish editing
it (which could be a while but could be soon, I really don't know!):
Stefanie and I continue our discussion on the media. We go into detail
about the Channon
Christian and Christopher Newsom murders, and the Wichita Massacre.

The Media vs. Ron Paul
2007-05-20 02:25
GMT -04:00
Just a couple of months ago when I first heard about congressman Ron
Paul, I loved the fact that he has Libertarian views and is running as
a Republican for president. That's truly the only way to win, IMO. I
didn't think he stood a chance. But now I do.
But, since his views....although as Conservative as can be (and isn't
that what Republicanism is all about?)....are different from "neo
cons", the mainstream media is trying to hide the man that is Ron Paul.
Talk about encroachment on democracy and obvious bias.
The candidate who speaks to the people. The candidate who is fed up
with the way things have been going for God knows how long. The
candidate who actually has some fucking integrity, unlike all of the
other two-faced, backstabbing, backdoor dealing lying politicians that
we are all used to. Since Ron Paul doesn't have the money hats and
doesn't follow party line, the media is attempting to obstracize him.
Good luck....the tidal wave has already begun folks.
"Ron Paul, why do you blame Americans for 9/11."
Ron Paul DID NOT blame Americans. He blamed the American government.
BIG DIFFERENCE!
Jon Stewart, the man who went on CNN's Crossfire and stuck it to their
hosts...barely a whimper about Mr. Paul during The Daily Show's
coverage of the GOP debates. Hmm...who is doing theatre now? That's not
to say it's Jon Stewart's fault, but the powers that be are obviously
at play here.
To support Ron Paul, I will mention him every chance I get. I am going
to re-register as a Republican so I can vote for him. And I urge all of
you to do the same. Even if your beliefs are liberal in nature...if you
want someone who wants to get the government off your back and perhaps
keep some more change in your pocket...vote for Ron Paul!

Intelligent Discussion on The Media
2007-05-15 22:46
GMT -04:00
During the last show I read an article by Stefanie Williams about the
murders of Channon
Christian and Christopher Newsom. Well...she is Rants and Raves' newest
guest!
We discuss many things, from the media black out, journalism, Al
Sharpton & Jesse Jackson, women issues, and many more. There
isn't
much humor in this show, but there is substance.
I'll release the rest of the show on Friday. Also...sorry the site was
down all weekend. Let's just say GoDaddy sucks and I'll leave it at
that.

Special Talk Show
2007-04-13 15:25
GMT -04:00
The news has been insane this past week and I just couldn't help myself
but to chime in. Unedited (except audio processing), here's the brand
new Special show:
Topics: Anna Nicole Smith, Don Imus, the Duke Case, the Channon
Christian and Christopher Newsom murders, and the Wichita Massacre.
-Adam
Finally...New Shows
2007-03-15 01:45
GMT -04:00
Look...I'm real sorry I haven't been very punctual with getting new
shows out. I'm at a transitional period in my life where I am looking
for a career and it's tough balancing hobbies with jobs. And to be
perfectly honest with everyone, since I never get feedback from shows
it's pointless for me to even care about the show. It's a love of
labor...but at the same time there are more important things to do.
Topics:
Ms. Sue,
Dance Dance Revolution, manscaping, Wed 2.0, the significance of
farting, year-round school, MD smoking tax increase, and Borat's
ethics. Music: Joe Sibol - Jacket That You Never Wore
Topics: Black
Friday, Canon XHA1, non-stop poker, written agreements, and Progressive
insurance. Music: Megaphone - Stain
I'd like to get back to making video shows. I'd rather release three
video shows a month rather than four audio shows. That may be the new
direction for the site in the future...if anything at all. Everything
is still up in the air in my mind, but I can tell you that I will
fulfill all shows up until this month at some point.
RARShow.com will continue to exist. I use other sections of my web
hosting account for business purposes...so it will NOT go off the
Internet any time soon. If I ever feel that it may create a conflict of
interest between my jobs and my hobbies...I will have to choose the job
interest over the hobby. This show is all about strong opinions and
unfortunately some people may see that as "off-the-wall." It's just not
worth it to keep a show going that ruins my reputation without any form
of compensation.
I doubt anyone would really care anyway if this site went off the
Internet tomorrow anyway.

Smoking Ban in Baltimore
2007-03-04 04:00
GMT -05:00
I've never had a tobacco product in my life. I find the smell of
cigarettes disgusting and I know that it's a horrible habit. Littering
via smokers...don't get me started. HOWEVER, I think that the new
Baltimore City smoking ban is bull shit.
The mayor said, ""The good health of our citizens should not be left to
choice." Umm...yes it should. Are you gonna ban fast food next?
Actually...NYC is on it's way with their ban of trans fats. Now the
food up there isn't going to taste as good.
Stupid people are bad for my health. More often than not they are the
ones who pick fights and cause property damage. Let's ban them. Let's
ban cell phones because they MIGHT cause brain tumors. Let's ban motor
vehicles because smog is a MAJOR health concern in Baltimore. There's a
lot of cancer going around this area...and I think pollution may have
something to do with it.
Computers aren't good for your health either. They make you get poor
eyesight and can make you fat and lazy. LET'S BAN THEM TOO!!!!!!!
Also, the last time I checked, one of the principles of this country is
FREEDOM. How can we be the land of the free when businesses can't allow
their
guests to do a legal activity inside their PRIVATE PROPERTY? Huh? Land
of the free...indeed.
Come January 2008, I will walk into City hall and light up a fake
cigarette. I want to make a point...but not at the expense of my
health.
By the way...new shows coming soon!

Interview with Jim Babka
2007-02-04 01:38
GMT -05:00
I recently had the chance to interview the president/co-founder of one
of my favorite political organizations: Downsize DC.
Now, the group's name is pretty self-explanatory...they want to take
power away from Congress and make government smaller in general. They
are a non-partisan organization that has a great method to deliver
messages to your local representatives. All you do is sign up and you
can do almost one-click letter sending...ala Amazon.com shopping.
Mr. Babka was a great guest and I hope that Downsize DC's
campaigns go through! I mean, who can disagree with the notion that our
lawmakers should actually read
the bills they pass into law?
Topics: The
small things in life, Listerine Advanced, Syriana filmed in
Dundalk, Llama Toe, male genital mutilation, Windows BitDefender,
debates + polygraphs, and regulations = law? | Music by: Atomic
Tangerine
Topics:
Special split-edit show, Quit my "internship", starting the business,
paternity test product, extreme smoking ban, the PlayStation 3
shortage, and Adam Sandler's movie "Click".
Also, I split the Infrequency show that was just released into two
parts. 30+ MB was really just too high of a file size and I really
think the show is an important one to hear.

Gun Control and You
2007-01-11 01:03
GMT -05:00
As some of you may know, I am a huge proponent of the second amendment
to the U.S. Constitution. I believe it is one of the rights that has
continully been shitted upon...illegaly, I might add. Anyway, there's a
new Infrequency out now that is about all that and more.
The show's guest is Henry Heymering, president of Maryland Shall Issue.
Henry and I talked about a lot of good stuff surrounding gun control
laws in Maryland, including the history of the 2nd amendment, the
media's role in public perception, the new mafia, and trusting others.
I sincerely apologize for interrupting Mr. Heymering so much during the
interview. But the whole issue of acquiring a gun permit and the lame,
nonsensical gun laws in Maryland get me excited. On top of that,
there's a delay with the Internet phone system I use.
Also, if anyone thinks the shows are too big (file size-wise), please
let me know and I will cater to your needs. If I don't hear any
complaints, I'll assume everyone who visits this site has a decent
internet connection.

Congressman Ron Paul
2007-01-07 22:49

Ron Paul is the best Congressman in the United States' federal
government right now. To me, he's the only one with good-reasoned
principles and decisions. Check
out his website now.

War Has Been
Declared
2005-10-19 04:22
GMT -04:00
I am waging a war against this lame ass company
that is talked
about in today's show. Acacia Technologies Group is a company that
specializes
in taking advantage of our government's broken patent system and
extorting
money from major companies. Basically, they acquire or file vague
technology
patents and then wait for the technology to be developed before they
come
in and file lawsuits. They don't have to put millions of dollars into
researching
how these technologies will actually work, or the man hours/brainpower
spent
to develop this stuff...they just brainstorm vague concepts and
viola...instant denero.
Apparently Rants and Raves (and therefore me, Adam
Reuter)
is infringing on one of their patents. Their Digital Media Transmission
patent...which
basically states "the transmission and receipt of digital audio and/or
audio
video content via a variety of means including the internet, cable,
satellite,
and local area networks. Elements of the DMTŪ transmission
process include
a source material library, identification encoding process, format
conversion,
sequence encoding, compressed data storage, and transmission." Source
That would make me a patent infringer dating back
to August
of 1998. I was a juvenile delinquent and didn't even know it! OH YEAH,
I
FEEL PROUD!
So, the war is on. I want Acacia to file a lawsuit
against
me, Adam Michael Reuter. You know how to get in touch with me
(1-206-339-RARS).
Or if they try to get me to pay their shitty licensing fees like they
did
for porn sites, I'll shove the bill straight up their arseholes.
If they get through my wrath (good luck), I then
want them
to file retroactive lawsuits against every single other webshow out
there.
Then I want them to file lawsuits against every Podcast that is listed
on
the following websites:
When they do this, they will make their gravest
mistake. Because
A. I'm poor. and B. I won't back down without a fight. I have about
$300
to my name and no group of assholes are going to get it. Not Paul R.
Ryan,
not Robert L. Harris II, and especially not Robert A. Berman...I heard
that
guy steals money from the Salvation Army Santas.
Here are some links if you're interested in
reading up on these punks:
Funny
thing is, if you've ever sent an JPEG or GIF image file to someone via
email,
you've violated their patent. Or if you've sent someone an MP3 file,
legal
or not! INFRINGER! CRIMINAL! HOW DARE YOU????
And after all, Rants and Raves has always needed a
tagline.
Indeed was old and not desciptive enough...this new one seems to suit
the
site just fine.
MP3s from September have been deleted off the
server and knocked off the RSS feed.
